Zhang Huan Makes Directorial Debut in "Semele"

Renowned Chinese contemporary artist Zhang Huan makes his directorial debut Brooklyn Academy of Music's production of Semele. The artist also designed the set, transforming a centuries-old Ming Dynasty temple into an altar, palace, crematory, and heaven.

Semele, George Frideric Handel’s operatic adaptation of the Greek myth, is presented by the Canadian Opera Company March4 through March 10, 2015.
