Robert Graham came to Southern California from Mexico in 1952. Known primarily as a sculptor, Graham has concentrated on representing the female body throughout his career. His nudes are physically perfect yet natural - they display a self-awareness that deliberately counters the tradition of passivity in Neo-Classical sculpture.
