German-born artist Gunther Forg now lives in Areuse, Switzerland. Since his first solo exhibition in Munich in 1974, he has gained an international reputation as a printmaker, painter, photographer and sculptor. Although motivated by a critical mimicry of minimalism and modernist ideals, Forg's images actually exhibit the best of those minimalist qualities.
