Robert Kushner was a performance artist in the early '70s. Since the late '80s, he has focused on painting and printmaking, using flowers, fruits and vegetables as his subject matter. His use of rich colors and his fluid drawing reflect his interest in European and American modern art, as well as traditional Asian painting and printmaking.
